Drawing an extensive background of historical ballet technique and training, our ballet program teaches a melting pot of traditional esthetics with a focus on proper alignment, safe execution, graceful carriage, and injury prevention for dancer longevity. In this technical form of dance, traditionally set to classical music, dancers will learn and use a French vocabulary to denote positions and movements. The class format is a combination of a comprehensive barre, center practice, and traveling progressions. Ballet helps to develop good posture, a strong core, flexibility, and body control. Any serious dancer is always encouraged to supplement their training with weekly ballet class.
