Cornerstone Studio strictly adheres to a dress code for classes. This allows each student to focus on learning while minimizing distraction.

New students will not be required to wear their specific class attire until they have been at the studio for at least one month. This will allow time to determine whether or not the student is in the most suitable class.

For your convenience, class leotards and tights are available for purchase a the studio. We also have a shoe loaner program. Please feel free to borrow or donate.

Please do not send your student in her own costume or tutu.

Jewelry should be kept to a minimum.

Hair must be worn up off the face and neck for all dance classes.

A neat, secured hairdo is required for Ballet, traditional bun is preferred. No hair may be hanging down on the face or neck.

All Creative Movement, Pre-Ballet, and Ballet classes require pink tights and pink ballet shoes.

Leotard colors are as follows:

• Creative Movement 1–2 = Pink leotard
• PreBallet 1-2 = Pastel Blue leotard
• Beg Ballet 1 = White leotard
• Beg Ballet 2 = Purple leotard
• Beg Int Ballet = Burgundy leotard
• Int Ballet = Navy leotard
• Adv Int Ballet = Black leotard
• Adv Ballet = Any color leotard Warm-up clothes (sweatshirts, leg-warmers, etc). may be worn in cold weather but are to be taken off after plies.
• Warm-up clothes – (sweatshirts, leg-warmers, etc). may be worn in cold weather but are to be taken off after plies.
• Jazz and Lyrical – Black leggings, jazz pants, tights, etc with any color leotard or dance top. Black or tan jazz (or ballet) shoes. No shorts, pajamas, or low–rise pants. Make sure pants are not long enough to slip under the shoes.
• Combo classes – dress for ballet .
• Hip Hop – T-shirt or dance top and warm-up pants. No low-rise.
• Tap – Any cool, comfortable street clothes. Make sure that pants are not too long. They should not be able to slip under the dance shoes.

Leotards & Shoes for Purchase:
For your convenience, class leotards are available at the studio. Shoes are also for sale in limited styles and quantities.

Loaner Shoes:
Some dance shoes are available on a first come, first served basis. When outgrown, they may be exchanged for a larger size. Please return all borrowed shoes to the studio at year end. Thank you.
